What is Pita Shot?
Pita Shot is an extensible bridge inspection tool that makes it possible to capture stable, high-angle photos up to 11 meters above the ground without the need for an aerial work platform, simply by attaching a Wi-Fi-enabled general-purpose digital camera (such as a GoPro or other action camera).
Conventionally, inspecting bridge bearings required close-range visual checking using an aerial work platform, scaffolding, or a ladder, making the work difficult in leased areas or confined spaces. With Pita Shot, safe and efficient inspections are possible without the need for this equipment.

1 Engaging the Adjuster Stopper Reduces Camera Shake and Ensures Stability.
Even camera shake at high elevations—which is common when using a camera mounted on a rod alone—is suppressed by a unique mechanism that presses the camera against the upper structure, enabling the capture of high-quality images.
2 Rotates Horizontally, Allowing a Wide-Angle View.
Since the camera can be rotated horizontally while pressed against the superstructure, a wide area can be inspected in a single pass. This improves inspection efficiency.
3 Motor Unit Angle Adjustment via Remote Control Allows Upward and Downward Shooting.
The motor unit’s angle can be adjusted remotely via the remote-control unit, facilitating upward and downward shooting. Checking from multiple angles reduces blind spots during inspections.
4 Attaching the Protective Guard Ensures Stability
Securely attaching the protective guard to the structure helps minimize shaking and misalignment during shooting, ensuring stable image capture.

Case 1: Inspection of Supporting Sections Without Inspection Scaffolding
When inspecting supporting or load-bearing sections without the use of inspection scaffolding, aerial work platforms or ladders are typically used. In addition to the costs and logistical burdens involved, the safety risks associated with working at heights pose significant challenges. By utilizing Pita Shot, inspections can be performed from the ground up to a height of 11 meters, making it an effective alternative to conventional methods.
Case 2: Inspection of Supporting Sections in Confined Spaces and on Leased Land
In confined spaces or areas where the land beneath the structure is leased, it may not be possible to conduct a thorough inspection due to constraints imposed by the work space and surrounding conditions. Pita Shot makes it possible to assess conditions in previously difficult-to-inspect areas, such as narrow spaces. It is also effective in streamlining procedures related to leased land.
Case 3: Supplementing Drone Photography in Confined Spaces Where Drone Use is Impractical
When photographing supporting structures with drones, sensor limitations may prevent the drone from getting close enough to the subject, requiring shots to be taken from a distance.
