SAFETYSafety Initiatives

Basic Approach

Safety is absolutely essential as the foundation for realizing RAILTEC's corporate philosophy of helping to create a safer and more comfortable society.

Safety at the worksite is the starting point for everything we do. We develop an annual Safety Management Plan and work tirelessly to integrate safety into all our activities.

We believe that maintaining safety at the worksite is the key to performing high-quality work, which ensures the safety and peace of mind of our customers.

RAILTEC’s Three Declarations
  • [The Do It Properly Declaration]
Rather than just doing it well, let’s do it properly.
  • [The Communication Declaration]
Always report, communicate, and consult—even on small matters.
  • [The 3 Steps, 1 Task Declaration]
Think things through thoroughly beforehand, carry them out properly on the job, and reflect on them carefully afterward.

Specific Initiatives

Work Plan Review Meetings
These meetings are held at each worksite to ensure safety and improve quality. We review key accident prevention points and assess potential risks to enhance safety measures, quality, and productivity. Findings from these meetings are shared with the entire team during pre-work briefings.
Confirmation Communication Training
This training raises awareness of the importance of confirmation-based communication in the workplace. Junior and senior employees form pairs. The junior employee acts as the instructor and the senior employee acts as the worker. While giving and receiving instructions and checking each other’s work, the worker assembles a block of the same shape as the one built by the instructor without being able to see the instructor. Then, they compare the shapes of the completed block structures, analyze why the shapes differed, and use this insight to improve on-site confirmation communication practices.
Train Contact Accident Prevention Drill
To prevent train contact accidents, we conduct drills that simulate actual on-site conditions. Through these practical exercises, we determine the appropriate actions to take in specific scenarios involving abnormal situations.
Safety Experience VR Training
This training uses virtual reality (VR) technology to allow participants to virtually experience workplace hazards.
For example, the training simulates an accident in which a worker falls while walking on unsecured scaffolding during bridge assembly work. This helps enhance safety awareness during actual operations.
