Allowing Tamping Machine
Operations to Be Performed by a Single Operator

RAILTEC's advanced proprietary
tamping machine technology
is widely used by railway operators.
RAILTEC has developed proprietary technology for operating tamping machine.

• Realizes construction precision equivalent to that of absolute reference-based work without the need for surveying.
• Reduces labor requirements, allowing construction to be performed by tamping operators alone.

• Ensures high-precision construction regardless of the operator’s skill level.
We have achieved these results by utilizing our in-house developed NtiRT (Restoration Work Planning and tamping machine Control System).

RAILTEC also makes this proprietary tamping machine work technology available to other railway operators, including:
• Work contracting
• NtiRT introduction

In addition, also offer customized tamping machine technician training.

Please feel free to consult us if you are having any problems regarding tamping machine work.

TECHNOLOGY 01-01Our Tamping Machine Work Services
Our Proprietary Tamping Machine Technology
We perform MTT work using reconstructed waveforms derived from data collected by track inspection vehicles.
Furthermore, by integrating tamping machine control into a unified system, we are able to achieve high-quality track alignment while reducing labor requirements, thereby enabling highly precise tamping machine work that is independent of the individual operators' skill level or experience.
Restoration Work Planning
Tamping machine work methods generally fall into two categories, namely relative-standard work, in which maintenance is performed relative to the track on which the tamping machine is operating, and absolute-standard work, in which the actual track alignment is surveyed and the track is maintained to an ideal alignment.

While relative-standard work can be performed at a relatively low cost, it presents a challenge in that it makes it difficult to achieve an ideal alignment.
On the other hand, while absolute standard work can improve linear accuracy, it requires preliminary surveying and involves significant costs, time, and labor.

To address these challenges, RAILTEC utilizes reconstructed waveforms derived from data collected by track inspection vehicles, which allows us to significantly reduce labor and costs while maintaining a level of quality equivalent to that of absolute standard work.

We reconstruct the actual alignment based on track inspection data and a simple on-site survey, calculate the required displacement to achieve the ideal planned alignment, and prepare a restoration work plan.
Tamping Machine Work
Tamping machine work is carried out in accordance with the restoration work plan.

Our NtiRT system provides operational assistance, allowing the work to be performed by a tamping operator alone.
This eliminates the need for adjustments based on the operator’s experience or intuition, ensures consistency regardless of individual skill levels, and maintains a high degree of planning accuracy.

Please feel free to consult us if you are having any problems regarding the quality or cost of tamping machine work.

TECHNOLOGY 01-01NtiRT
Proprietary Tamping Machine Technologies
Our proprietary technology revolutionizes tamping machine operations.
We offer packaged solutions that combine restoration work planning capabilities with our tamping machine control system.
What is NtiRT?
NtiRT enables other railway operators to utilize tamping technology based on restored track geometry profiles.
The system can be installed on existing tamping machines manufactured by Plasser & Theurer.

NtiRT is a system that performs track alignment calculations based on the LABOCS track maintenance management database system developed by the Railway Technical Research Institute (RTRI), a technical research company in the Japan Railways (JR) group.

Please feel free to consult us regarding NtiRT introduction and operation.

TECHNOLOGY 01-02Tamping Machine Technician Training
Proprietary Tamping Machine Technologies
Operators who work with tamping machine must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the machine’s structure and operation.
In the tamping machine Technician Training Program, participants will learn about the tamping machine mechanical structure, equipment, operation, emergency recovery, and other topics through both classroom instruction and hands-on training with actual equipment.
Training Content
We develop training programs tailored to each client's objectives through consultations to discuss the training period, duration, location, facilities, and other details in accordance with their specific requirements. We also discuss the materials to be used in accordance with the training content.
